A little spice in the life of Geri Halliwell recently as she announced her engagement to formula one team boss Christian Horner(40). Halliwell 42 years young announced the engagement through a notice in the Times newspaper. The post read:
‘Mr C.E.J. Horner OBE and Geri Halliwell, The engagement is announced between Christian, son of Mr and Mrs G.M. Horner and Geraldine, daughter of the late Mr L.F. Halliwell and Mrs A. Parkinson.’
Both Geri and Christian have daughters from previous marriages. Geri has a eight year old daughter and Christian has a one year old daughter from a relationship with Beverly Allen.
The couple have know each other since 2009 when were first pictured together in at various formula 1 race meets in 2013 including Monaco, Santander and Silverstone.
The engagement ring has been photographed only a couple of times and seems to be a classic beautiful Solitaire diamond in a four claw white gold setting. A far cry from some of her friends and band mates with their – ‘check out the mega-bling on me rings’, Geri and Christian have decided to go for a beautiful ring which looks to be approximately a 2 ct diamond. Such a stone in this traditional setting with a high colour, clarity, cut and with a 2 carat weight would cost approximately £80,000
