Recently we had a visit from a couple from Galway city. They had admired a friend’s ring that we had built especially for their friend. The friend had used our bespoke ring service.
The couple had seen a photo of a ring they had found online. After searching they could not find the design in any shops near them or in the surrounding counties. We created the ring from images and sourced the perfect diamonds for their budget.
At first the couple contacted Loyes Diamonds through and email. Then we called them for a phone conversation. The couple then decided to make the trip up the road to see us one Saturday afternoon.
The Visit To Our Shop
They had a very specific ring in mind to create. It was a 5 stone diamond engagement ring but unusually with Emerald cut diamonds instead of the more typical rounds. The first step was for us to study the provided images with our lead designer. Then we conducting a price analysis. We wanted also see what size stone would best suite the diamond rings budget. After this we arrived at what we felt would best suite the balance between price and quality of diamonds.
Emerald cut diamonds have a large table facet and Its basically a window into the diamond. It is therefore best to keep the clarity above SI clarity so that no inclusions in the stone are visible. We also felt we would like to keep the colour high. We decided on the colourless d-f range and of a uniform whiteness across the 5 stone ring.

Although the couple are located in Galway we were able to keep them informed every step of the design process. We did this through the creation process by emails and phone calls. Over the phone we discussed metal choices and stone ratio choices. We also how best we thought the diamonds should be set for maximum beauty and security.
When the bespoke ring design was completed by our designer, we then forwarded the CAD images for our Galway couple for approval.
Given approval our team went into production. This beautiful emerald cut engagement ring was ready for collection within 3 weeks from start to finish.
On collection the couple were smiling ear to ear and could not be happier. They expressed delight saying the ring is better than they have ever expected. They were are so happy that they trusted us and went with their friends recommendation. The resulting 5 stone emerald cut diamond ring is absolutely stunning!
